Photography Gear
Hella all. Today we’re gonna talk about photography gear. More specifically the gear that I use. Let’s get into it! My current gear consists of: Canon 90D, Canon 70-200 f4, Canon 16-35 f4, Sigma 150-600 contemporary, Sony Alpha6000 with a Sony 50mm f2.5, and Vortex high country 2 tripod. I will also mention for editing software I use Lightroom. As a point of interest I will mention that while selecting a camera I chose the Canon 90D, which is an APS-C sensor VS a full frame sensor for a couple reasons. 1. I get a farther reach while using telephoto lenses, which is helpful in wildlife photography. 2. The camera is a relatively new camera, having hit the market in 2019, which means it has the newer technology. 3. The sensor is a 32 megapixel sensor. My Sony alpha6000 is more of a walking around and day to day camera. Now for the lenses! For wildlife photography I mainly use the Sigma 150-600mm contemporary and the Canon 70-200mm. For landscapes I use the Canon 16-35mm and the 70-200mm, though I can use the Sigma as well. As for tripods, they are a great and worthwhile investment, specially for landscape and wildlife photography. My advice for tripods is to select a tripod that is sturdy and stable and can hold the weight of heavy lenses. As like any photographer my gear list changes from time to time and will be updated in the future. As for now I will leave you with this, gear or lack thereof, is no reason not to go out and enjoy taking photos! Get out there and have fun! Be safe and have a great day!
